KIS Lynx is the newest innovation from the KIS suite of products. KIS Lynx (coming soon) is designed specifically for the web, it provides true anywhere / anytime access to the complete feature set of KIS, bringing the full power of a windows application to the web.

Web applications have been available for many years. However, the technology was not conducive for the Behavioral Health industry; essentially because of the large amount of data required for Behavioral Health. The navigation process and connection loss behavior made web technology unattractive and unpractical for Behavioral Health. Imagine one of your operators answering question #155 of #299 on an assessment, and the browser "losing" connection, causing the entire page to be refreshed, all of the data lost. Starting over at the whim of a browser or internet connection is simply not workable in a real work environment. Fortunately, this limitation of web technology has been solved with HTML 5 and JavaScript and Windows Communication Foundation (WCF) technologies. In the scenario above, HTML 5 and JavaScript actually handle the rendering (display) of the data entry form. WCF monitors and controls the server connection. If connection is temporarily lost, WCF automatically and seamlessly reestablishes the connection, and Silverlight maintains and tracks the state of the form. The user keeps working; the data integrity is maintained!

With the release of the new HTML 5, JavaScript, and Microsoft's WCF technologies, it is now possible and practical for Behavioral Health agencies to actually use the convenience and power of true web applications for deployment of their most mission critical applications. KIS Lynx provides all of the features of standard KIS (Integration, Clinical Records and EHR (by separate contract only; not part of the standard KIS Lynx), Client Services, Accounting) as a true web application. One of the great of true Web applications is that they do not require a special install on the client’s machine; only the server has to be installed and maintained by your IT staff. Client machines are automatically updated by the browser, eliminating a big part of the headaches your IT staff faces every day!

• 100% Microsoft .NET Visual Studio managed code and components

• Microsoft SQL Sever 2008 R2 (or higher)

• HTML 5 and JavaScript technology

• Microsoft .NET's Windows Communication Foundation (WCF) -- Server

• Microsoft .NET's Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) -- Client

• Standard AES 256 bit encryption with rotating client cipher (every packet)
